korean webtoons are like fast food.

It makes me so sad because the ones that are actually good never get the attention they deserve or they don’t get an official English translation. Now all I hear people say is BL’s are just fetishization and rape when there’s so many good they just simply don’t get the popularity. :(

Korean standard for relationships are so toxic. I learned that korean couples text each other every day every hour to "update" each other on their activities and couples get mad at e/o if no reply. The obsessive possessive attitude translates directly into BL stories. Save yourself the hassle and don't bother with "popular" manhwas. I've since given up (￣∇￣")

You gotta really sort through these stories to get to the good stuff.

this is quite true. i've lived in Korea and the men in relationships are so toxic to their gfs. these authors are often really just projecting their experiences onto these bl MCs
