Yeah, I agree... this is a great comic but it definitely isn't supposed to just be "kinky." I hate that people do think that about it, because then people who don't read it get the impression that it's author doing the romanticizing when it's actually the fandom. And I really think the author deserves much more credit than that.
I'm fascinated by the relationship between Sangwoo and Bum, and I love how twisted but still so utterly human they both are. But anyone who thinks this is a "romance" either has a really fucked up idea of romance or is fictionalizing this to the point of trivializing it.
Yup yup yup. I don't read the series, but from what I've seen, especially since I get images in my newsfeed since I know people obsessed with it, is that the author doesn't romanticize it at all. She makes it seem just as sick as it really is. Then half the fandom romanticizes it and the other half is like, "Son, ya fucked up."
I can't believe the amount of people who think this is hot and kinky, or that these two are actually in love. Get your head out of asses, you guys need to wake the fuck up and realize that's not the point of this manhwa whatsoever. Don't try to compare this to Harada because their works and this one are on two completely different levels. Harada is about that kinky shit and "dark" stuff, this is fictional but whenever it updates I genuinely feel scared when I see his squirrel son of a cunt face, he needs to be shipped with jail and Bum needs serious help, mentally and situational help.
