Well, I'm pretty sure Iltak is supposed to be intersex. Men can have a disorder named "gynecomastia" which makes them develop breast tissue due to a hormonal disbalance, which Iltak canonically has. I do agree with the fact that the author has been doing Puni dirty like my man he is just as cute as Iltak
Sorry if this comes off as rude, but the author straight up shows how Iltak has a hormonal imbalance in one of the previous chapters, canonically making him intersex. Intersex isn't just different genitalia, it's anything that deviates from the perceived sex. Hormonal imbalances does make someone intersex, it's a very interesting and compelling topic and I'd recommend watching the Clown Fish video from The Octopus Lady she goes into very respectful detail about the topic . The author could use this in a very cool way but instead he uses it for his own fetishist work which is very upsetting
Saying "anything that deviates from the perceived sex qualifies as intersex." Is so lame Many conditions involve hormonal or physical deviations without falling under the intersex term (PCOS in women or low testosterone in men)
Hormonal imbalances (low testosterone or high estrogen levels) in themselves do not define someone as intersex.
Intersex refers to variety of conditions where a person is born with reproductive or sexual anatomy that doesn’t fit typical definitions of male or female. This includes chromosomal variations (XXY, XYY), ambiguous genitalia, or differences in internal anatomy.
Hormonal Imbalances ≠ Intersex: Hormonal imbalances in adulthood or adolescence (due to stress, medical conditions, or medication) do not make someone intersex. These imbalances may lead to health conditions but are typically temporary and do not redefine someone's sex characteristics in a way that fits the intersex category.
The assertion that the Iltak is intersex based solely on a mention of hormonal imbalance is unfounded.
Hormonal imbalances does not inherently mean the author intended for the character to be intersex, especially when she clearly use it just as ferish. +
If the author never explicitly states that the character is intersex, then he is not. Canon should be supported by textual autor evidence, not recommending a specific video to support this claim. That doesn’t validate the argument unless the source directly addresses the fictional character.
The end. And learn more before speak.
Jesus Christ dawg PCOS does count as intersex, it's just not often described as such, bc hormones place a HUGE part of gender expression (aka why a lot of us trans ppl do HRT), when I say hormones i mean stuff that affects sex characteristics not... hormones that affect stress, those have nothing to do with gender. Second is it really wrong for me to try to find something good in this shit show of a comic? It makes it more interesting to me to think that he is intersex, when the hormonal imbalance he is displaying obviously affects the way his body expresses his sex characteristics. Idk if it's this specific post (forgive me if its not) but Im not trying to defend the fetish stuff the author does, and I mourn that if this was any other comic it would be a good thing to explore but instead it's used for someone's sexual gratification. Also, the video I recommended wasn't to fully justify that Iltak is intersex, I just wanted to showcase a very cool video on the topic at hand. Something can be canon without the author having to EXPLICITLY say it outright. Context, subtext and media literacy exists for that purpose, not all things can be said outloud. I do not know what I said to cause such a reaction, but forgive me if I said anything that upset you, I'm just having some fun in a really messed up place. I do still recommend the video from the Octopus Lady, she is very informative and careful about the topics she speaks about (most of it is marine biology). I'm gonna be muting this bc this long ass post lowkey scared me
And still, I wanna say that your response is a mix of defensiveness, shifting the argument, and personal interpretation that avoids addressing the central critique. U probably just didn't expect me to talk back or having information on this topic
Btw PCOS really isn’t intersex—it’s a hormonal condition, not a congenital difference in sex traits. Intersex refers to physical or chromosomal variations present at birth, not hormone shifts later in life. Hormonal imbalance alone doesn’t make someone intersex. It’s important not to conflate medical definitions with personal interpretations. Or with statement on videos u saw instead of actuall study.
Puni is cuter than Iltak bcs he still have somewhat boy body. While Iltak is unreal fetish of femboy..like boys just don't have body like that, It's natural for girls but not males, they can't have it. But that doesn't mean they can't be cute. Autor act like u can't be cute boy if u don't have girl body
