Guideverses are where the setting usually has monsters and dungeons and people start developing powers to defeat those creatures. I’m the beginning it sounds like your typical “solo leveling” type dungeon and hunters setting but instead the ones with mental, physical, or magical abilities are called espers. Espers are like hunters because the have powers but they have one flaw. Their bodies aren’t built to handle the strain because they’re humans and sometimes that leads to them getting sick and suffering or them having mental breaks and going on a rampage or them turning into monsters. Guides are the beings that regulate and calm their abilities. They are kind of like healers only able to help espers. Usually they have classes and have certain people they connect better with. Guides and espera can be exclusive or pair with many people. (Most romance ones are exclusive) guides and espers are not always romantic and can have many times of relationships. In some universes the guide can guide them from far away, by touching their hand, or by hugging. Some other universes are more intimate and include sex. Anyway I hope this helps!
