Think about it from his perspective. There is girl being targeted everywhere for being a runaway convict that is well hated. People are after her constantly trying to kill her. She randomly disappears one day and gets kidnapped a wounded. Now she randomly disappears in somewhere she supposed to be safe as people are poking around outside about he whereabouts.I understand but he is better of taking her with him or leaving her at home since she is useless rn.
Plus she didn’t tell him she was gonna learn magic but if she did he would think “now she wants to either get in the way or potentially throw herself into harms way on a power trip”
Bro, do you even understand the plot? If she left, Dillon would absolutely take her once again. And it's also clear that she love Leniel to the point she doesn't mind staying with him and she also trying to convince Leniel to change the OG story, this arc can be a character development to Leniel because of how possessive he is right now. He doesn't allow her to the garden because Isabelle secretly takes her without him knowing which makes him anxious cause before she was locked up, she got kidnapped. Who wouldn't be anxious in that state. He is totally not red flag or black flag, in my opinion he is yellow flag instead. Does he force himself to her? No right? He just wants to keep her safe by her side. If he is a red flag or black flag, he would've chained her leg on a bed or force himself to her so she could be broken, but what did he do? He just let her be but just monitoring her incase something happened, he just wants to protect her bro. FL changed him
That’s why I could understand him keeping her at his place, not locking her up completely in the mansion and monitoring her 24/7. I’m pretty sure even in prisons they don’t monitor you 24/7, and as I’ve said, she only “disappeared” BECAUSE OF THAT. If he at least gave her some privacy, then there wouldn’t have been any need for it. I could understand him before, but now he started to really cross the line. Sorry, there is no excuse for it, also reason ≠ justification. I could’ve understood his perspective before, but not anymore, he really went too far. Sorry not sorry.
You saying he’s not even a red flag is wild. I’m not even gonna try to argue with you cause I can already see we will never come to an understanding. If you like this kind of stuff and that’s your opinion on this, good for you. However, I very strongly disagree. Let’s agree to disagree. My opinion won’t change
bro if he's a red flag wouldn't he be insane instead of being sane when he locked her up? clearly he's taking care of her instead of doing violence when she disappeared with Isabelle. I know it's wrong to lock up the FL, but like, you need to understand the circumstances too, do you even understand what i meant? The FL could DIE outside the mansion. He has a reason to monitor her too cause what if someone breaks in and he doesn't know? I also know it's wrong to invade her privacy, but the FL doesn't seem bothered bro he's not exactly red flag, he's in between, that's what i meant, he is YELLOW flag
I understand everything you said and I strongly disagree. Red flag ≠ Insanity, Reason ≠ Justification. Also, I don’t believe in taking away someone’s freedom in the name of protection. I also already explained myself on the whole circumstances argument. As I’ve said, you’re free to think whatever you want but you won’t change my mind. I’m not going to argue with you, because I can see we clearly have different core values/opinions. Debate won’t take us anywhere, we won’t understand each other. You’re free to think whatever you want and so am I. Please respect that.
I get that he got scared, but she didn’t even do anything??? She didn’t leave the mansion, all she did was have a private conversation in the garden. She wouldn’t even need to do that if he didn’t monitor her 24/7 in the first place (btw that’s pretty messed up sorry not sorry). A lot of you might like that and disagree with me, but personally, this is becoming frustrating to read. I really can’t stand someone being so controlling and toxic. Locking her up at first, sure it made sense due to danger, but not allowing her to even go to garden cause of what? It’s unreasonable. It would also be good for him if she learnt magic. I really can’t stand the red flag/damsel in distress tropes, I really hope it doesn’t become that. If someone read the novel can they spoil me when will this situation be resolved and if Leniel will get his shit together or not? And will FL put her foot down with him finally? I’m not really into one-sided toxicity, if someone gotta be crazy then let it be both of them. I know how much people like Leniel, cause he’s hot and whatnot, so idk if many people will agree with me, but that’s just my opinion on this.
