I know, but I kinda like this ending more than the novel it seems that Edith is recognized and appreciated more this way
They changed the ending of the manga because so many readers hated how she wasn’t properly punished in the novel.
I also prefer this new way. To me, it made no sense the Duke and Duchess would allow Reeze to FKUp with their family name just because they took care of her when she was a teenager and she got married to their psychotic son.

It makes sense because they watched her grow up like their daughter. They naturally grew an attachment to her regardless of everything she’s done.
The novel ending i read ended so different from what's been happening after she was brought back. Either what I read wasn't really the ending or the manwha is just taking creative privileges??? Idk it's throwing me off.
