Not really a spoiler but my own thoughts
I definitely believe that either the prince/king or queen dowager had something to do with the curse. The queen dowager could have done so because she knew her son was desiring FL and wanted to ruin her reputation (like she keeps constantly forcing the FL to stay in public places when she’s not feeling well/the curse is acting up knowing she won’t be able to resist). The king could have done it because he desires her and knew the only way he’d be able to be with her that way is if she physically/mentally can’t resist? Cause she 100% views him as family and would never view him how he views her.

Also the king was acting really strange this recent chapter, so maybe he also knows something about the new noble girls dying :( I don’t want the king to be a bad person
