Nah, the raws indicate that the oldest brother literally is playing the other brother (in the house, the one he makes out with) cause he wants him to always be together with him, and then we see he purposely does things so that it looks like Minjae gets all the hate from his idea of using the vase to get out of the house... Then the other brother isn't any better cause he just overall dislikes Minjae for no reason and then continues to be a scumbag to him / sides w/ the other brother's story and is manipulated also. So yeah... the brothers are both messed up, but also the oldest brother didn't do anything to help Minjae, he allowed it to happen, knowing it would, was happy it did... so the brothers even if they "seem" like victims... they aren't, they made Minjae's life worse and never cared about him, they made him out to be the worst thing ever and even when he tried to do his best, study all day and night, sing all day and night, they still hated him... so yeah... there is a lot to it, but the brothers aren't victims either, they purposely just hate him and the oldest brother just made it worse cause he's actually got a screw loose. You could "technically" said it's because of the freak dad, but they have their own decisions, that's why and it further confirms that they're just pieces of shit.
