And how is that our fl's problem. We can be friends and help him but definitely a relationship shouldn't be going on. Treating someone as a spare and saying you love them is so low. Even now he doesn't bother to reply to her messages. Ok they now are in a relationship he has problems that he doesn't share even after asked what the problem was he says he is alright but still doesn't act up to his claim of being alright(he doesn't even try to hide that he is hurt just to get attention from her even if he later will try to play it cool as if he is okay just to make fl worried and for him not to leave her mind). He knew her feelings since they were kids but still played with them even when he came back and only when he though he is losing her did he confess(shallow confession not even a slim of thoughtfulness and sincerity just purelyfor his own gain). He can be her friend but not boyfriend. The mom said not to date but nobody bit his tongue, he could easily have talked it out with fl of what is going on and that they could keep it hidden(lots of movies, manhwas,manhuas..., series etc are like this), like tell me what changed that now he is able to date her even after mom said that? What? Like come on he is not good.
I just read the whole thing and I read the comments and many people are hating on him.
I get that he's really shitty at communications and I still don't get why he ghosted her for 6 years but I think he's just a really hurt soul that's afraid of being alone and betrayed. His mom died, his father cheated for years and brought the mistress into his home and he feel guilty because he knew about his dad cheating, we don't know the rest or why he went abroad without talking to anyone yet. As for the sudden confession it's not that crazy, he saw that he might lose her, the only person that's still by his side no matter what, and he doesn't want to let her go. Also her mom told him not to date her, I suppose because they're living together or for some other reason. We've seen flashback and we can see that he does have feelings for her (maybe not romantic when he was young but he was really fond of her) and now in the present je clearly show that he has romantic feelings for her.
Also on FL because some people dislike her for not being able to forget about him, I feel bad for her because she had a crush on him for the longest time and he went away without saying anything or even keeping in touch and so she didn't get closure and couldn't move on because it stayed on her mind.
Her mom didn't even tell her about his mom death even tho they were best friends, I think that part is weird like she could have told her because it's clearly one of the reasons he went away.
2ML is okay but we've barely seen him and he doesn't have much interaction with her to have real chemistry with her yet, like he look like he has a crush on her but she doesn't even know him, she clearly said that even tho they're the same age and are in the same department and he's not a freshman she never saw him before and she think it's a little weird. So yeah no real though on him simply because he's almost nonexistent honestly
