I mean, technically they actually are a snake who wants to breed and a dude who wants to save his grandpa. They're purely "business". Even tho you can already see some acts of appreciation over the other.

I wanna like this but can’t smell any affection or sweetnes here, it feels off :/ Just a lost soul who wants to breed someone and a desperate soul that wants to save his only family. That’s all. Kinda hard to look at them rn… There was also an amazing snake/god plot that I once read and felt overwhelmed, i can’t help but compare them in my head.
