felt like the author was also lost

i'd understand if the author wanted touji and yachiyo to be endgame, but the way it played out was just so inconclusive and unsatisfying especially because kiyoto was such a perfect 2nd ML. can't even call it an open ending cause it's obv enough that touji and yachiyo will end up as something but touji's feelings are also just not there...

and the way it all played out also doesn't feel intentional, like even the author themself couldn't decide who they should write as endgame... and they just lost their own plot. which is sad cause this had so much potential. i love kiyoto and honestly touji ending up with him would have been much more refreshing against the first love trope. but if this was written better, i also wouldn't have mind touji and yachiyo and my heartbreak for kiyoto would have been tasteful and worth it. but no. now i'm just sad and disatisfied and disappointed cause this had so much potential...

We have the same sentiments. I love this manga so much that's why it's even more dissapointing.

you took the words right out of my mouth! up until c4 the story was still good but c5, man... idk if the author wanted to have an open-ish ending so they can continue the story in a 2nd volume or if the author ran out of idea to fix the ending and chose to end it just like this...
