The author may or may not bring him back.
I think the extras are to add more bittersweetness. This manga was full of bittersweet from every characther lol

this may be my wishful thinking but if the story is still ongoing and another volume is in the making (idk if true) then tachiyo might not be endgame. i feel like the extras are focusing on kiyoto for a reason but then who knows? i hope kiyoto at least gets his own story whether a sequel or in a 2nd volume
