this is why i stay on the fujo side of media as a gay man. your guys inability to understand a joke is wild. you telling me most of you guys cant distinguish sarcasm/laced humor with genuine statements ?

what’s even more wild is giving attention to people who were actually homophobic when the first rule of thumb is to ignore and do not engage lol

Gotta be honest with u chief; I read your OG comment and I have to say that it's really misleading, to the point where it's normal that ppl interpreted it in a literal and negative light regarding the homophobia part.
    1) Nowhere in the OG comment ppl would have guessed that you are a gay man. Like, ppl are not fortune tellers??
    2) You follow ur "joke statement" with a "now that that’s out the way" and actually typed a real criticism. Which usually leads ppl to think that ur first part is not a joke
    3) the whole "y'all can not take a joke" while using a petulant attitude is off-putting, you cannot blame ppl for reacting negatively towards u.
I mean, if you are gonna make a joke that can be easily misinterpreted, at least don't get offended at people don't catch it and are rightfully mad xd

no offense but who in the world read all that in my og paragraph, with context, and thought “hm this person has to be serious about being homophobic”. with all your explanations, it’s excuses for people to 1. assume the worst and rather than question 2. be assholes first over misunderstanding that was easily solvable

the reason i mention in replies later that im a gay man is not because i expected people to see me as gay but for them to know that if you don’t think someone resonates with a joke- maybe take time to be confused and just ASK!! if someone says the n-word online you’re gonna wonder if they’re black. if someone says fag or “im homophobic” (with clear intent to be sarcastic) you’re gonna wonder why? right?? unless it’s very obviously used in a hateful/oppressive way and in this case it wasn’t???

you’re giving grace to people to not navigate the internet with analytical skills and believe my delivery somehow negates the fact that people down here are lacking critical thinking. regardless of me being gay or not, wouldn’t the smart thing to do be to just idk question why i felt comfortable saying this…? instead of blatantly ignoring all the context of the statement and taking it at face value. my entire paragraph was playing with the theatrics of how the fictional gay couple were such terrible people it made me hate them and other gays since their actions were so bad. not because they were gay!!! it comes off really entitled and shows ppl lack basic communication skills, when clearly misunderstanding a middle school level english literary tool
