Well from what I read in the raws he stays to watch him suffer but ends up suffering too because he can’t understand why the prosecutor is suffering as if he actually loved him . I’m pretty sure he’s staying because pheromones. To ensure the baby is born healthy that way the bond is 100% broken

In the raws the henchman that’s always with the prosecutor ( the older guy ) helps him before hand get water and everything before he actually goes into hiding . They don’t show anything about bathing but I just assume he does it with the bottles water and also most of the food he has he’s been storing bit by bit before he went into hiding . I think issues will come up with the baby because typically if the Alpha is releasing negative pheromones or having negative emotions those pheromones effect the baby as well which is why the uke kept saying his stomach hurt really bad even though he’s past the 6 months threshold .
