it's kinda nice that we have a typical/non-typical villainess story where the FL doesn't have any real negative feelings for the crown prince who broke their engagement and in fact still wishes to serve him as a knight.
of course this is only nice since the crown prince (while not without his flaws) isn't actually a bad dude or loser. he just has inferiority issues he needs to get over. he does still want to be a good king and better the lives of his people.
at the end of the day they're still teenagers who need to grow and mature into well-rounded adults and find their time to shine.
