I think this leads to more of a realist historical setting to this though. We know from history that this type of situation of puppet kings being set on a throne & ruling. Then being exterminated & a new lineage coming from the usurper. Its sad that often these kings would not learn until they had grandkids of their own as they get older they look at death & try to repent. We even see this happen when Carnegie whom was a very wealthy man stepped over so many in a vicious way to make his money but then as he got older began to donate & help others. Its why we still have the Carnegie Trust today.
The story is cute but I can’t get over how the dad killed an innocent kid. Dude put a crown on his head and then offed him like nothing. I really don’t like how this was skipped over and now he’s some happy and doting grandfather. Ick.
