on one hand, love the angst, love the complexities of human imperfections & emotion. absolutely adore the moral ambiguity of their past and present and how it's set in the backdrop of an ongoing war.
i love how you'd be an idiot to rule out either the ML as a one-sided evil incarnate with puritanism brainrot or the FL as some girlbossing survivor; they're so much more than that. it would be such a disservice to the story. i adore that they superimpose both main leads' character arcs against the lives of the bourgeoisie, the commoners, the poor, the soldiers... truly, even the extras are nuanced. like yes yessss give me the tearjerkers, give me love lost and unforgivable transgressions and the complex growth they'd have to go through before clawing their way back to each other. i LIVE for the drama
on the other i had to bust out laughing when he was like, "ok name 2 things u want" and she literally went, "1. a letter to not-you, and 2. a restraining order." fatality
