Slanted eyes upwards I couldn't tell you but Freckles at this time period were not considered pretty as for her nose how she describe it. It's seem it's supposed to be a button nose which again is considered ugly in this time period.
The artist drew her with her own unique charm and to be frank I believe that none of her feature are ugly yet I acknowledge that in the settings in the story she is ugly and that the artist did embellish her face
Freckles definitely aren’t considered that. It’s undesirable to have those in asia since they want unblemished skin
