Every BL could be different with marking so I don’t know too much about it but from what I have seen is making just marks your territory, so it’s harder for other people to sleep with them and pheromones are permanently on them from their mate. I do know people can be unmarked but it takes years and you have to be separated from that person.
Isn't the alpha supposed to know first, since he's permanently marked (?).
