you just stated my one-sided beef with Yaoi writers... like, I get dark stories but what I DO NOT understand is how they make the victim so forgiving and accepting and even make them excuse the behaviour... its appalling. it's what made me give up on the genre..
they love making dark stories but they don't bother to make the plots or the characters any good lol.
It’s a cheap plot device that most Yaoi use like Jinx where the uke felt like he had to please the boxer for paying off his debt. Tbh I don’t like that type of plot since it’s annoying, flat out unrealistic, and feels disgusting after everything.
Like all yaoi, the author we’ll end it with a good note. :l

Like this writer drew these last scenes so well in depicting fear and disgust. And now in the next chapter after one date everyone is pals?
Like who gets past coercion that fast??? Who gets past rape that fast???? And to develop a crush after 10 chapters of toxic and abusive dynamics. Ew.
Would have been a better read if it just stayed at this dynamic without becoming a lovely dovey couple. Cause at least for me the jump from violence to love is way more toxic then just writing out a toxic dynamic.
