Recyclables, of course any work of fiction conveys political messages (even Princess Mononoke or Chihiro) the author's choices are NEVER fortuitous, all choices are political (even something as small as choosing to have a woman as the main character), so of course with all the dog whistles contained in this manga we can't help but see them. And I find it quite insulting even for the author and for mangas in general to consider that it is "just fiction" and that they are only there to be pure entertainment and not means for the author to transmit his beliefs, values, and political ideas. mangas are also a tool for reflection on our societies and a mirror of them with their qualities and their faults! As for this manga in particular, honestly it makes me very uncomfortable, when we see the contempt, the feeling of superiority and all the hatred that emerges from protganists towards aliens, I think it's natural to be embarrassed when reading (especially when it ends in a desire to exterminate them all, therefore a genocide in the form of cannibalism). So I definitely don't think that people who see a racist or at least anti-migration manga with very disturbing comments are exaggerating, I think it's just normal. Afterwards it's still too early to say what it really is, I'm waiting to read the other chapters and in all cases it's a very interesting and intriguing manga! (sorry for my crappy English, it's not my mother tongue)

I'm sorry but there are people out there who can distinguish fiction from reality. You guys fr just want authors to make robot stories that are all the same and shit on anything that's remotely interesting because of being "woke" or chronically online. If you can't read a manga, watch a show, read a novel, watch a movie, or read a book without being able to tell fiction from reality then please get off the internet. Like I get we all have limits but at least make them reasonable like saying anything with rape, loli, pedo, abuse is concerning rather than a story about aliens

Oh I always look at what books they've bookmarked and 9/10 they read Yaoi with rape and somehow think it's different. When I point it out they think I hate Yaoi, like no I'm just not a hypocrite
