The series is on hiatus since season 1 ended. Usually artists take about 2-6 months depending on the amount of detail they put into their works. It's kind of like building up chapters in advance just in case they need to take a break for a week or so.
I haven't seen anyone talk about Jujucat tho so if this is true I'm deeply saddened.

Do you know for which series the artist was?
I follow a lot of them on there and I'm trying to remember if I ever saw the post.
I was wondering why I hadn't seen their name pop-up in a while, but I just figured they couldn't keep up with paying for all these uploads. They were the primary source for at least a year now.

Btw this was the post i saw

Ahhhhh so this is fairly recent.
Hilarious that I have never even heard of this series tho lol like, as an artist I get protecting your livelihood, but I can't get behind strictly posting your work behind a site that is literally not available in some of the more major companies in the world.
I've got a friend I had to make a lezshit account for 'cause it won't let them process payments in the country they live in anymore. They have to send me money via PayP so I can load coins onto the account for them to read every month lol it also isn't available in places like Australia and if I remember correctly a lot of places in Europe as well.
It's why I mostly read everything on here, beg major licensing publishers like Tokyop on socmed for my fave series and then buy them physically as soon as it is available.
I've even promoted and made posts on here to let people know when the English releases hit so people have the chance to buy their own copies and support their faves. It's much cheaper ((I make below min wage for southern part of the US btw lol)) and you don't have to worry about losing access to your digital account or losing the ability to pay for tokens.

Big agree i always think that if i ever made a comic or story myself id upload it behind a paywall and then upload it on a free site myself some time after, that way people that wanna support me can do it and recieve early pages while people that cant just have to wait a little longer but still get to read the story

Two of my fave webcomic artists used to do this.
I think they're biggest issues with it were finding someone to design, make and run the site, but it was honestly so much better on me back then as a struggling student that was having to help their mom raise 3 of their younger siblings.
Like, not everyone is a "broke bitch" out of reluctance to work. 90% of my checks went to making sure my baby sisters were fed and a roof stayed over our heads since my mom was a single parent. Being able to read Avialae and Starfighter for free during that period of my life is what kept me going. Eventually I was able to sub to their patreons ((I've been subbed to Lucid for like 8 years now or so)) so now I get access to their more exclusive shit and physical mediums like their books and prints.
Most people don't do this anymore tho and expect everyone everywhere to be able to shill out double-- sometimes triple-- the amount of money it'd cost to buy the physical releases. And like I said, most of these online e-book stores aren't available in all countries. I am active proof of that by helping my European friend be able to read their fave series by making an account for them to use.

Omg i totally understand its a hard life when you can barely afford to get groceries ;-; also lucid as in avialae lucid? I love their stories!!!!
Also id love to spend money on so many physical stories but any kind of shipping costs so much here like 20 to 50 more than the actual cost of the book youd get

Yeah the gay birds Avialae Lucid LOL I've been following her since the very beginning of chapter one for Avialae. Same with Hamlet Machine and Starfighter.
I bit the bullet and got Amazon prime for where I live lol shipping is free and they have a lot of sales for the series I want to buy. I'm just so sketchy with digital purchases. Lost my old PSN account in my early 20s along with like $500 worth of games and dlc. Haven't trust digital only mediums ever since. I'll only buy something digitally if it's on sale and less than $15 LOL
I tried doing buying digital copies of bl manga, but I spent so much money just on a couple of chapters that it made me feel sick to my stomach. Not only that but a lot of sites have resorted to "webtoon format" which means you're getting a 3rd of a chapter for the price of a 3rd of a book. It's so predatory for both the artists and readers.

THE SHORT CHAPTERS ARE SO ANNOYING theyre literally chopping up chapters so ppl spend more to read them and the corporate can make more money, and they dont even pay the artist as they should! >:(
at this point i just think making art and buying it is something you can do once you have a good amount saved up

My ex is a freelance illustrator and you have to do a whole lot more than just draw art to make ends meet. They help admin an art portfolio site on the side while they basically draw full-time.
Just doing art isn't gonna pay the bills. I tried once and now I've been stuck in a 7 year rut with my art. Got to the point where I was like "fuck it. Working a 9-5 is less mentally taxing than this shit" lol
Is anyone ever gonna update this? Since the uploader got sued or something, are the raws ongoing or is the story still on hiatus? This is such a good story
