well, he IS plus size… plus size ≠ fat. he’s quite literally large LOL not just in weight but also height. while he’s clearly more muscle than fat, i don’t think “plus size” negates that… it just refers to his overall mass, which includes muscle. in terms of clothing and fashion, he’d be wearing plus size clothing because he is larger than the average korean man, and such is the case ESPECIALLY in high fashion (which is kind of the point, lol).
+though he’s not necessarily fat, he’s also clearly not lean either, which is what people often expect of muscular men… the whole “fat” thing is not a true attribute, but rather a byproduct of him being unfairly compared to others within the story… like, if he were a real person, he could easily struggle in the fashion industry because of his size. people get called fat when they aren’t All The Time—i reckon this story is just calling on that, rather than actually saying he’s fat? though i guess i could be wrong……?
no that's a super valid point. I guess what I was trying to say is that in this particular story, the impression it gave was treating "plus size" as = "fat".

yes, i agree with that! i do think a lot of the narrative was iffy in general, especially regarding the way hyesung was treated as a character i guess i want to view him in a positive light because i like him, but there’s no denying the myriad of issues with the way he’s portrayed in this story… i want to pick him up and put him into a different BL
my biggest beef with this story is calling ML a "plus size" and "fat" when he's literally the most healthy looking and stunning out of all of them!! he's an athlete for fck's sake!! call him muscular, fit, or whatever.. "plus size" ain't it
