Pretty sure it’s a curse
I think that the two women don’t know the family’s (forgot the last name already lol) swordsmanship due to that it’s solely based on pure strength- which men typically have more of, but even more so that her family are naturally more sturdier than the average man. the family only bore sons, which is why it’s only that the men would be the ones to learn it. Even the mother doesn’t know the swordsmanship even tho she apart of the family and share the name. Hence that’s why princess is not allowed to learn it.
Plus, even if she could, the princess wouldn’t want to learn it anyways bc she’s cursed (only living until 21). Tho I do agree that the curse also adds on to why she can’t learn it, it isn’t the main reason.

It said in a previous chapter with Michael’s sword instructor that she can’t physically learn the family swordsmanship, but isn’t allowed to learn any other kind either because of her lineage
So far we've met 2 female who were strong sword users, chief steward and the red head, so what I'm confused about is why can't the mc learn swordsmanship? Why is it impossible for her? There are already women who have proven themselves capable with a sword and im sure a lady from a swordsmanship family would be more than exceptional. Is it a curse? Misogyny? Uhhhjdjdjjs idk man
