So an unmarried man cannot take an official mistress and a widowed woman cannot be the official wife of a royal. She's hinting that the crown Prince wants to kill carcel and make ines a widow, then he will marry his fiancee so that he has an official wife and make Ines his concubine / mistress. But they can't say something so scandalous out loud so they're hinting at the 'possibility'

This is true. If the prince marries first and then kills carcel, he could forcibly take ines as his mistress since it would not be scandalous.

No. He cannot forcibly take Ines as his mistress. He can plot all he wants, he cannot do that. Even the emperor cannot to that.

babe idk what you're on. If you're rich you can do anything. Especially when you also have power on top of that. That probably won't happen in the manhwa for plot reasons but he absolutely has the ability to do that.

I mean he managed to marry her twice right? If Carcel is dead and she has to go back to living with her parents (and if her brother didn't know what was going on) he could collude with her parents and have her come with him. It's a big if but it doesn't seem impossible

I don’t know what you are on either. Is Valeztena and Escalante not rich? Seems the manhwa need to talk more about the rules of their society for manhwa readers to get the full picture. If he could’ve compelled Ines do what he wants, what has been stopping him all these years? In fact, if he’s all powerful, why don’t he just take Carcel’s wife right now? Since he has all the power, nothing should be able to stop him.

Ines has never married Oscar twice? Where did that come from? She was married to him once and engaged to him twice. Also, manhwa seems to be doing a bad job telling the story because Ines’s father has never liked Oscar. It’s Ines who chose Oscar so her father allowed it in the timeline she married him. In all timelines, Ines’s father is not fond of the royal family. He might even be considered a neutral party in terms of politics unlike Escalante who supports the royal family.
