I think thats the case too. If that’s your main food source it makes sense to be “welcoming” to new people instead of hostile. Also you may want to put a spoiler tag in the future.

It's more like they want them to let their guard down completely and trust them so that when it comes to separating the two or making them do sum they won't suspect a thing but right after *boom* ambush either one. Either way, I hope the bear guy isn't in on it, I already took a liking to him :(((
