I would say that the novel is waaay more detailed but it's also darker. The artist took too many liberties and ended up making director Kim look lame. The one in the novel is way scarier and way more horrifying for the things that him and his people do. I would definitely recommend reading the novel. I was so excited to see the lasts chapters in the comic but the artist, unfortunately, did not handle it well. It's disappointing indeed
I'll definitely put the novel on my to-read list then. Sounds like it's another one for the list of must reads. :)
Thanks so much for the info!
It's sad the comic is not doing the original source justice but I suppose at least we can hope it's good advertizement for the novel to make people want to read it to see how it is written in a decent way.
Indeed! Also before reading the novel do check the trigger warnings because, in my opinion, the topics that it covers can be very heavy. I hope you like the novel or at least enjoy reading it! and it also has 2 more books, and out of them all I think my favourite is the second one. Have a nice reading!
Will do, I'm quite used to even messed up topics and can shrug them off usually, but I'll check regardless. Thanks for the warning. (●'◡'●)ノ
Oh~, multiple books sounds good. I'm sure if the non-detailed comic was interesting, the full length novel(s) will be great.
Thanks alot for your help and happy holidays. ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
The story felt very good so far but I think this ending feels like the typical thing I like to call 'long comic syndrome' where the author just wants to finish, no matter what, hence they rush the ending.
I get that both bad guys are dealt with now, but it feels in no way satisfying.
If we had at least SEEN the issue with the chairman and arrogant brat this might be slightly different but as it is it's rather unsatisfying. Which isn't really good writing since the point from chapter one WAS the revenge.
You can't advertize a whole comic as being a revenge plot, people expecting the satisfaction at the end of seeing said revenge play out beautifully, and then not give even a sliver of that.
Feels very much like the author just didn't want to bother with the story anymore and rushed to get to the final half-assedly. That's a real shame since I cannot stand all these social politics plots but I bit through just to get a good ending. Which now I didn't get. :/
I know there are 2 chapters left, but neither the arrogant brat will likely get more of a trashing nor will there be a sudden romance developing more between MC and Wacko. (Which was also disappointing, they are STILL more of a situationship than a romantic relationship, so that's also quite disappointing.)
