No hate but i think majority of readers understand that the consort has so many sex scenes because of the plot and it being a slow burn. But to chalk it up to media literacy being dead just because people want the FL and ML to fuck is a weird jump.

You just used the words media literacy as a buzzword without even knowing what it means. The comments are absolutely justified in complaining about the story purely being consort smut. No one said there shouldn't be smut, we understand that's how she rose her ranks, but the staggering amount of times she was with the king was unnecessary. She already solidified her position as top consort so what was the point of more scenes? So you diluting that to "not everything being about porn" is wrong. And let the readers complain about the queen not having smut scenes either. Its clean the women has a sex drive too

As an author : no. You never need to show smut scene, you Can make it obvious that there is a lot of "hugs" between her and some other people without having to show it. That's thé problem people have here : we (because me neither) don't want to sée her take pleasure. You Can make it obvious she has some without showing it.
