i did saw a comment that said she wasn't, and the real ophelia died, that "saintess" also quoted, "brainwashed" them that the real ophelia is alive and is far away but idk tbh
This would actually make a good plot twist but that will mean that the brother is in love with his blood sister .....

Boni /Bonny is not the daughter, she is adopted. The second / current wife is a Dark mage who has used her dark power to manipulate and brainwash ppl into thinking she was a Saint. She used this to marry the Duke under the guise if removing the daughters curse. In reality the daughter was never cursed and the wife sent her to the dark monster infested woods where she died soon after having been sent away. The Duke brought home Boni who reminded him of his daughter and adopted her.
Dutchess / wife felt power in Boni and realised she may be the next Saint so she put a curse on Boni (it made everyone dislike / hate her).
Meanwhile she has been brainwashing everyone through the Tea she prepares for them, and have had ppl with evil intent try to break Boni.
By breaking Boni mentaly, she would never manifest her saint power = the church would not have to come to the house = Dutchess can use her dark magic as she sees fit.
Boni was manipulated into doing a ritual by her teacher so that they could catch her doing Dark Magic and ruin her future, but the ritial backfire and trancferd some memories of life in Japan into Boni instead.
Someone spoil this for me please. Is she the actual daughter or what?
