He tried to kill himself? Which event is he referencing

where he got stabbed by that guy. wacko is saying he tried killing himself b/c of his lack of regard to himself for involving himself in that situation even tho he didn't technically attempt suicide.

I think he was just referring to him showing up there practically alone as a suicide mission
