In few chapters we're about to witness downfall of their relationship. Ahjin gets accused of stealing and betraying Seokju. After that it gets very abusive: confinement, rape, drugging, etc. Ahjin develops addiction and only thing that was keeping him somewhat together is painting in Seokju's office. Seokju pissed off throws it away and burns it in front of him. Ahjin basically says he hates him and won't ever forgive etc. Seokju meets up with woman that was lover of owner of gambling den, they took over in chapter 1. Seokju killed him and she wanted revenge, so she secretly got a job in mansion as help/maid. She's that freckled woman with bangs. She tells him he has too many people in his heart, so it was easy for her to cause a rift by setting Ahjin up to be the traitor "You love too many people" - Very important quote in later story. She taunts him and says he won't be forgiven, if he has enough time to be forgiven. Implying Ahjin doesn't have much time. While this conversation is happening, back in mansion Ahjin is eating his lunch and finds knife in newspaper, first he uses it to cut the cuffs, but he can't do it. Different idea sparks in his mind to get away: cutting his wrists. Seokju rushed back to mansion and all the subordinates are apologising for not paying proper attention and that they can't open cuffs, because only he has the key. They rush to hospital and Ahjin survives, unconscious. Seokju is in his regret/repentance era now. He trying to be gentle and waits for Ahjin to wake up, knowing once he wakes up it's over. Ahjin wakes up and it won't ever be same between them. There's fear. Ahjin questions if he will get punished for attempt etc. They have convo outside in park of hospital and Ahjin is not forgiving. Quote: * "Why handle it so delicately? It's just a hand."
Seokju responded with a face that neither laughed nor cried.
"Because I'm afraid you might break."
Ajin blinked his eyes slowly. Then, he smiled gently, pulling up one corner of his mouth. It was a sneer.
"Boss."
"Yeah?"
"I'm already broken."
Seokju stood stiffly. Even his regularly rhythmic breathing abruptly stopped. His black pupils scattered, as if about to disperse.
Ajin silently stared at Seokju like that.
I'll break as I break, shatter as I shatter, unable to accept your kindness as kindness. Your apologies are uncomfortable. Facing you is painfully agonizing, and the feelings you convey are as heavy as a burden.
The shattered pieces of me are sharp and cold, constantly ready to prick you. Over time, the sharpened edges may wear down.
However, even if that happens, we won't be able to return to the time when your embrace was the most comforting, when just facing each other and laughing made us happy. I will roll through the world in the form I broke until I die.
But who knows? If I am born again, I might become whole. Maybe the Emperor of Jade (deity) will take pity on me, who has turned my blood upside down, and create me well. So, there might be a day when I can simply accept your sincerity and heart.
But anyway, not in this lifetime. * They go back to mansion post hospital. Ahjin starts getting better, but the lady that took care of him passes away, so he's preparing send off, he scatters her ashes in the ocean, as they always wanted to go to beach together and mourns. As Seokju suffers from insomnia and obviously doesn't sleep with Ahjin anymore, it gets very bad to the point Seokju's right handman begs him to help him sleep, so Ahjin does help, but asks to leave estate for this favor...Seokju gifts him a house in good neighbourhood and Ahjin lives there, he also has appointed bodyguard and sometimes they call each other, but that's it. Ahjin starts living good life, cooks, goes to barber, walks around neighborhood etc. But that doesn't last for long. He gets kidnapped by enemy gang, they cut off his finger as message to Seokju, Seokju goes find him and shields him from bullet, the bullet hit him but it still pierces through him and Ahjin is wounded too, they die. Before Ahjin died too he thought something along this lines (Seokju died first in Ahjin's arms) *You bastard, you promised to atone for rest of your life, yet you're the first one dying, i knew you were a liar* --> Ahjin wakes up in modern body in 21st century (i was literally crying my eyes out, then the author said sike and immediately threw me into modern era. Modern part is Ahjin being son of rich family, Ahjn acts as if he has amnesia as he doesn't know what his current life is like, he has an assistant and you've guessed it, it's Seokju, but this Seokju doesn't seem to know Ahjin from previous life, Ahjin is still cautious and doesn't really trust him....eventually they start relationship anyway, because Ahjin believes that this is not Seokju from 1950s like him and wants to try having relationship with good version...well that was definitely not the case, because modern Seokju is indeed the past life Seokju, modern Seokju got similar awakening like Ahjin, but much sooner, around university time he realised he's his past life and tried to find Ahjin, but that Ahjin didn't remember yet, so he waited, he was his tutor, his assistant etc. (he had little hope he wouldn't remember too)...it gets revealed when Ahjin finds out the house that was given to him by Seokju in previous life is still out there, so yeah big argument blah blah blah enemies from previous life show up, they get taken care of...proper conversation and how they can't be separated because they love each other, the end. There's WHAT IF side story; it's my favorite. It's set in 1950s and it's indeed situation where Ahjin wasn't kidnapped as child and is raised in rich family. He's beloved youngest master, assertive and cheeky. He meets Seokju at tailor store. And wants to get to know him, bc he's impressed by him, similar to early chapters of main story. There's no drama in this side story, just them getting to know each other and starting relationship. Their first time in this side story is really funny. Ahjin is still foolish. He really believed that when he invited Seokju over to hotel, they would just talk and stuff.
How can this mf spent that much time with Ahjin, know his character and how meek he is and then go out and pull that crap.. like what the fuck. Bitch you really think he’s capable of pulling that heist

Idk if I understood your question correctly, but Ahjin has never been a prostitute. Seokju also never sold him to other men.
