Fuck is going on. I do understand that the author is trying to make this world seem more realistic by adding in the struggles of politics and personal beliefs into the world, but I genuinely am not a fan on how it's beginning to overtake the story. It's hard to find a balance when trying to make your story realistic and trying to add complexity to the story instead of it being a straight up romance novel with no substance, I'm just not a fan when the reason I got hooked on it was because it was silly and more about family encounters.

We live in a day and age where everything is about politics in the media and imminent war is all around us, I don't want to read about it in my only escape (/TДT)/

I was hoping for more silly moments and rivalry between the candidates, not a political story ╥﹏╥

When this ends or if someone knows, spoil it for me on who she ends up with. My money is on the pope because I think that man will literally kill to have her (⊙…⊙ )

To be fair, the political plot points have probably been planned ever since the FL was introduced as someone who died as a military science major in her old life int he first chapter. And it's not that it overtook the story, it's simply that the story evolved in that direction. I just binged 40 chapters of this and I could see it coming since chapter 50. The upcoming war was meant to be a major plot point from the get-go. I think it's easier to lose sight of that when you get weekly releases and breaks at every turn.

Okay but tbf reading has *always* been political, whether it be novels or comics. Plus this is a historical story, so it's not surprising that politics werr eventually thrown into the mix of the eventual plot.

However, I do understand the desire of reading for escapism.. so please don't take this as me attacking you lol. that statement just sounded somewhat ignorant ( ̄∇ ̄")

Idk man, some of the smut I read is not political at all (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

Jokes aside, I guess you're right, it's a historical story so it should be expected. I've just read a couple of stories where the politics aren't integral to the storyline or are just briefly glossed over, so I was hoping it would be the same here! It started off silly, so I was hoping for it to continue that vibe. But that's just me, not my cup of tea :) And no worries at all, I see your pov ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~

You're totally right, I think it was my naive hope that it wouldn't go in that direction. Since I didn't binge it and come back to this periodically, it was easier to just look at it update by update instead of all together like I should have ( T﹏T )
