Let along space, he has to really stand on his feet, firmly and say no. Limits. And of course Jaekhyung needs a punch of reality, he has to change the way he approaches people and understand that if he keeps like that he is gonna lose everything.
He already is losing his title as a champion, he didn't even had the loyalty of all the people that attended his gym, coaches deal with his temperament but who know how long, he would've lost his arm. Things have to change, he has to change and need to realize that.
Dan is the trigger to all of this, but that's why Jaekhyung needs to figure out his feelings first, then he will be able to see the other things too. After that maybe they'll have a better scene to start things clean.
I agree, Dan is the trigger that will make Jaekyung change his perspective. He will lose everything that REALLY matters in life - the least thing is a title of champion.
I feel bad because I know Dan wouldn't refuse Jaekyung. It's my dream for him to say No and put limits, have a little dignity. If he stand hisfeet I'm curious about how Jaekyung would do.
You know, sometimes when cooking, you need to adjust the flame of the stove... and I think this is the case. 'Cooking' someone's "redemption" arc, one that makes sense for the character that is, takes its time.
Things may go slowly from here. I don't think Jaekhyung is getting away with his plans to "talk it out and fix it" with Dan especially since Grandma is where she wants to be (until she dies) and Dan loves her, but has no one else to go. Dan itself needs to work with how he handles solitude or being alone and that he can figure out things for himself and does not need to depend on other people. Grief it's gonna be tough tho.
My take is, even if Jaekhyung encounters Dan, things are not gonna go like he wants, at least not if he doesn't change the way he approach him and figures out his feelings, just being a grown up which I don't think will happen anytime soon. So yeah, slowly cooking it.
Maybe Jaekhyung will stay there with Dan trying to convince him, but hopefully Dan will put limits or at least says no this time. I see that happening with ease because Jaek can't do anything even if he wants to due his shoulder's recovery so he has plenty of time to be annoying and get his shit together along the way.
So yeah, guess this season will be all about being patient about changes and get to know the characters better (us, themselves, and between them). Fingers crossed.
