Well, the short answer is that trunks can be a little longer and looser, overall more comfortable for beginners while briefs are smaller and tighter and are usually worn by professional swimmers because they lessen the water friction on the athlete's body. hope that helps!

Just a question:
Is trunks and brief the same? I remember in novel it’s trunks, jammers and legskin/pants and jiheon choose the trunks (Please don’t find it weird that I remember this lol. I just remember I keep imagining him wearing a trunks (like a boxer brief) not the one in the manhwa.
But I’m not complaining! The muscles are muscling (lol what a weird word but you get what I mean haha)
