Maybe he looked like his father and that’s what the mother didn’t like?? It doesn’t always mean he’s deformed. People are strange
well i assumed it would follow some of the original Phantom of the Opera theme, if i remember correctly the phantom of the opera is deformed from birth. so i thought maybe he was deformed or like you said it was more "figuratively" cuz he looked like his father
yah I thought the same bc it wasn’t just his mother who didn’t accept his looks but it was the other kids too..Maybe he was born deformed or he’s not but it’s a legit thought idk y the other comment is saying it’s strange to think of it this way..
