OK, so there is a manga I can not remember the name of. In short, the man character was reincarnated as a monster/demon. he then meets with a kind girl who I guess is treated like a villainess. The demon tries to protect her while also leveling up and trying to get a human form. i think the last time I read it he had a choice between something human or a dangerous form but the villainess was in trouble and he needed strength so he gave him the human form and went with the dangerous form. does this sound familiar?
