Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't she try to trick Hours into falling in love with her using the same mirror Osiris used on Nepthys??? Like isn't that pretty shitty?? Why is it ok if she does it but not ok for Osiris to do it?? It is at the start of the series, before the first trial and Horus even says that he thinks the mirror is suspicious so he'll keep it away from himself
Misogyny is never justified. You guys can hate her if you want but using words like "b*tch" and "H*e" and comparing her to seth saying there shouldn't be a goddess for Beauty but a god, is kind of a slap in the face. There aren't curse words like that to describe the bad men. When people describe osiris for example they just talk about him as a character and don't use words that are derogatory towards his whole sex. "BL fans stop using misogynstic words to describe a female character" challenge, difficulty level: impossible lmao
Yeah Osiris really do be getting called d*g shit eating bastard and other stuff. Also misogyny is when you hate on her BECAUSE she's a woman. Except in your case you're kinda doing the opposite and telling people her actions shouldn't be called out because she's a woman.
Also women can call other women bitches it's not intended to insult their gender if it is coming from that gender itself(although you could argue that I don't know which commenter is which gender)
And then again she's fictional so these micro conditions of sort like which curse word can or cannot be used don't really matter
Btw I was talking about the person defending Hathor, not jaes snakes
And the original question of the poster was not why people use specific words for her, but instead that "Why are people so hard on her, she's just pretty and kinda dumb", people don't have a problem with her because she's "dumb" (which I don't think she is cuz then she wouldn't have tried to trick Horus) or spoiled. So we were just telling the reason of why there is hate towards her. Like she's legit forcing a marriage in Horus
I (me, not the og commenter) never said to not hate on her BECAUSE she is a woman. People can hate on her if they think she deserves the hate, that's whatever. But using derogatory language doesn't seem right, and it's kind of more disappointing if it comes from other women. If men do it, they are ignorant, if women say it...it's just sad. Also, from what i've seen the female characters def get more hate than the males for doing the same or even more low stakes things
I mean it depends on how you look at it. It's like reclaiming derogatory words like has been done multiple times. Although I do completely agree with you that in media women are always held at way too high standards than men and it is disgusting to look at.
Where I'm from we don't really give importance to words like bitch, like it is not gender-specific, it is used for both genders and is a common curse word. Of course this is about where I'm from and the weight of derogatory words changes from region to region. Which is why I didn't really think the commentors hating on Hathor were attacking her gender.
Though I would like to add that based on what I've observed in the comments, Osiris is definitely more hated than Hathor and rightfully so of course. And personally I think that if someone(regardless of their gender) is trying to force another person to marry them and putting political pressure to do so then I(in my opinion) don't feel like there is anything wrong with calling them a h0e.
Of course that is just my opinion because I don't come from a place where English is the common tongue so such words are used for both men and women
why is everyones so hard on Hathor lmao shes so pretty and kind of dumb I love seeing her on screen XD also she is literally the goddess of beauty shes bound to be a bit spoiled
