I honestly don't think he was disgusted at the thought of liking Hangyul! I think it was a panic response to realizing he likes Hangyul in tangent with what hes done to them. Its not just that he likes Hangyul its the fact that hes a terrible person who has done terrible things to a person he accidentally ended up caring about.
if someone was ever so disgusted at the thought of liking them i would never even look their way again if hangyul goes back istg
