zippers weren't common on clothes until the 1930s and men's pants generally had button-flies until the 1950s... the clothes in this webtoon are kinda all over the place but I think they're going for something from pseudo-Victorian to about pseudo-1930s or so. In that case the dudes shouldn't be wearing belts at all, but braces/suspenders! :3
