This is the first time I’ve felt this way about any BL manhwa I’ve read, but I didn’t want the mc to end up with the ml. I don’t know, but I just can’t stand desperate MCs who cling to their childhood love even after that person has already found someone else, not even trying their best to let them go. It’s honestly my least favorite trope.
Well if ever you’re looking for manhwa with a similar trope but where the MC moves on and finds someone new, I highly recommend giving these a try: "Form of Sympathy" and "Ways of Parting". Even though the MCs were deeply in love with their first loves, they made an effort to move on. I really admire stories where the characters recover from unrequited love and move forward, eventually finding someone new. I know how hard it can be to let go of someone you loved so much, but these manhwas portrayed that journey beautifully. They were painful and frustrating to read at times, but the endings are what made me fall in love with those stories.
