First off. I wish I read this at 14. I would've eaten this up. She's a bit too Mary sue now but I'm still enjoying it lol. Everything just so I don't have to study
Second. John is the real MVP. He's the most attractive in my eyes easily. Killian looks like some tdundere yandere vampire who calls himself pressman and ml is a cutie but on the dumber side for a full on grown ass 27 year old lmfao
Meanwhile John id a common or(no blood money blood in his veins!) doing what he thinks is right. I fear he's gonna turn idiotic in the later chaps just to make ml look good but. He was good while it lasted.
Third. I like how she rethinks what she thinks she knows. She thinks s lot like me in that regard where she treats everything ad a possibility till she's able to discard it, despite understandable jumping to conclusions at first cause of the misleading intro.
Four. I thought she only read the intro??? Some of the chapts talk as if she'd read the whole thing.
Five. Isn't she a prosecutor??? I'm sorry but prosecutors aren't detectives. Yes they go hand in hand but I feel like they're giving her a lot of skills and backstory that just don't make sense lmao. Like she's not a spy, she does not need to go undercover they're also simplifying s lot of the politics. Like I don't believe her royal siblings are all that dumb. Destroy the wheat??? Is he retsrded? They should have studied that with their royal tutors. She knows about agriculture however(randomly??) and gives a good solution...but it's very general? Is the way to achieve her ideas not just or even more important than being a dreamer? They just left it at that.
Six. The plot isn't bad but it falls very flat. Like there arent enough layers to this story iykwim
But anyways the biggest joke of this story is actually me who's typing this trying to appear all smart and political but actually is struggling to finish the first chapter of a book that ACTUALLY focuses on good writing, scheming and politics. So I hide in a kids comic lol
Ok I got some thoughts...
