I don’t think he married her? Technically he’s engaged to the red headed sorceress but they think he’s dead still. Wondering if this will turn into harem or just a series with multiple love interests. I also don’t think it means the soul mate thing in a love way, but as in a saintess has a partner they find for their cause. She liked Bichir before but this is more so responding to his cause against the demons.
righttt the word companion is not inherently romantic and in the chapter it says that saintess needs to acknowledge her soul companion in order to give them strength, which feeds into the whole idea of her giving her power to him because his values align with hers. She's litterally doing what her class is supposed to do....support
