They fixed the translation and it seems that ashito came with some plan. At least i think so
Based on my observation, Ashito purposely fouled himself in order to be near Fukuda and buy some time to speak his suggestion. That's why we can see Yuri's puzzled reaction after Ashito's desperate tackle.
