I saw spoilers from the novel and she never loved her.

I actually can't blame the mother for hating MC she was forced into a marriage. So her not liking MC is understandable however she had no fucking right to reveal MC &Enoch(MC father) hid out.

it makes no sense tho why she told enoch that she understands his want to hide lilith away, like... you say you understand, but it turns out you don't

i will break it down
1. the marriage is for noble as in the mother and father have -100 feelings for one another.
2. As for fucking and having a kid they were doing a duty.
3. The mother probably never wanted the kid and hated the fact that the husband cared more about the kid than her.

Furthermore, more I feel like the mother had already practically filed for divorce to be with her new husband and wanted to start a new family that she wanted not of noble duty. Also from the novel, I feel like the mother wanted FL father to live a shitty life of suffering. Also, you do realize a woman can give birth to a new life and just abandon a kid without feeling anything for them. Not all women are caring and nurturing types just like how not all fathers are jackass. Anyways I stated why it's understandable why the mother hate the kid.

The only reason that sick woman would show an expression of hurt is that the father was leaving without her and taking FL away also can you blame the father for doing that cause he doubt that his own wife would protect his kid because once again the woman had no fucking feelings for the father. Bro if you have feelings for someone you don't move on right away but she did. Hell she even rated them out. To the mother, she only had one kid and it's her son, not FL. Look I understand why she hates FL but ratting out a kid isn't just hate because no human being would rat out a kid if they were in the right mind but clearly, she ain't even sane. FL mother is the type of mother that will sell her daughter out to make a better live for herself and her son. You will understand if you read the novel more. But in the end Fl mother is like the type of mother who will sell their daughter to a slave house or just sell her body just to better her life. Look I can understand where the hate came from but I can never understand how parents can abuse a kid heck I can't understand why adults abuse kids this deals with my morals hence why I said "So her not liking MC is understandable however she had no fucking right to reveal MC &Enoch(MC father) hid out." also in the novel she will say that FL is not her child she that FL father is the only parent for FL . Women draw a line so that the father knows she don't want FL in her perfect little life.

And it shows well what kind of person is the bio mom, when the new husband of hers pick up the two sons and run away (the eldest son already lost all his respect for her mom, because of her actions).
