Highly agreed.
Uploading the 'korean version' (so to speak) as official will immediately have people skip all other chapters despite the original format working out better for the story, panels and so on.
I really think this was not a good idea and should honestly be changed to replacing 'official' with 'formatted'. That way people will at least check what is different and give the original a chance.

yes yes exactly, and changing the name in one way would definitely also work. "formatted" or like "version 2" would be sooo much better but tbh I'm not sure if that's even an option to put when uploading sadly

From what I know you can title uploads anything you want, no?
Just go onto the frontpage of a comic and scroll down to the chapter list, on the upper right side is a blue button. You can see all options for uploads and there are options to type in whatever you like (chapter name for example).
That's how people upload new stuff titled: Chapter 23 - The Conflict (BETTER QUALITY)

So yeah, the options ARE available.

I haven't looked in a long long time, so i wasn't sure, thought that those were maybe options you just ticked off and it automatically added them to the chapter name. maybe it's a newer thing? idk, but that's good to know. should definitely have titled it smth like Coolmic version so people know what they're getting into

I'm not familiar how it looked before, I only ever paid attention to the button and the functions a year ago or so. Pretty much because I was also curious if the upload options allowed for random chapter titles. XD
I have no idea if we can EDIT uploads we made, but that would also be an option for the uploader. That or deleting the ones they uploaded and re-uploading them with new, more fitting titles.

that's fair haha, I've been using this site for over 6 years now and I could be wrong, but back then I think there wasnt even an upload button, you had to contact the site moderators to upload anything.
also you can definitely edit them, I'm fairly certain about that, based on all the times people have accidentally uploaded the images in the wrong order and then quickly fixed it, without anyone getting a new upload notification. not too sure about editing titles? but if you can edit the order of images it would only make sense to be able to edit everything else lol

Yeah, they definitely changed a few things over the years. Not as much as other websites do (complete entire overhauls of the layout and all that annoying jazz) but still changes can be seen here and there.
Maybe the edits are done by deleting and reuploading? IF there is an edit option, people should definitely use it tho. Technically these chapters are falsely titled so that's reason enough for an edit I would say.

If they reupload I believe people get another notification, so I'm pretty certain it's editing, either way if you're a dedicated uploader anyways it doesn't hurt to do it over again when you've got the time. I also wouldn't say they're falsely titled as they are just deceptively titled which isn't much better tbh, and still a perfectly good reason to fix it

Hard to say tho if we get notifications for edits or simply reuploads when someone deleted a faulty chapter. Both would get us the same results as readers. (￣∇￣")
Hopefully someone will edit the titles. Not sure if random people or just the uploaders themselves can edit tho.
