Wait, what's the matter with Javier's mother having the same name as Pell's mother? Is that the reason the emperor touched the prince's mother in the first place? Just because she has the same name as his obsession? (I vaguely remember that he was obsessed with Pell's mother)

She was a kid (16 something) and he took her... unwillingly... and he did it cause he loved another woman & became obsessed and the poor maid became a victim of the Emperor's toxic obsession

Pell's mother is the emperor's obsession, he followed her around and was distraught that she really chose Pell's dad. Upon Pell's parents' wedding, he devised a divorce law on the day the mom would be widowed. Will budding his time, the emperor took interest in Javier's mother for the mere fact that she has the same name. That's basically the context

Thanks everyone for answering. I only kinda have a vague recollection of the plot at this point.
