Parents are supposed to raise their children with care and they’re the ones responsible for the child to grow up to be a better person. If your child is ‘conniving and selfish’ and you yourself SAY that as if the child is some individual whom you had no influence on building the character of wow, they are literally a piece of your work, a part and parcel of your shitty character and upbringing! And i also do agree with you that parents draw a line when or when not to defend your child.
