You know that point in time when you see something to read but you don’t actually read it and it stays in your reading list. This is what this was and now there is only regret in why I didn’t read this sooner. This was so good. Very happy she got powers and the gecko was cute. Those story is like a dream. The story was perfect. I feel like this story was conceived on the basis of what WOULD happen if a witch escape artist and a PTSD war-torn soldier were put face to face with their own decisions and how much they saved each other when they were contemplating death. Only to fight once more and the dream of finally meeting came true. Such a good story, especially liked the internal dialogue. I especially liked when they explain being called a hero and having to live like that could definitely end up hurting the “hero.”
