Hmmm... I'm not sure.
All i know of greek mythology is from pop culture (god of war, tv shows, etc) from years ago so I'm likely missing something
Based from what I remember, the titans can be considered as the ancient gods of Greece (d very first)
The first generation of olympian gods (Zeus & co, the titans' children) are fully aware of them 'coz they staged a rebellion against them -> leading to their banishment from Greece.
As for the 2nd generation (Athena, Ares, etc.), wouldn't they consider their parents as the gods that preceeded them???
OR
it could be that due to the arrogance and nature of the brothers (Zeus, Poseidon, Hades), they don't consider the titans as gods that preceeds them???
Especially since they did usurp them and installed themselves as the actual Gods of Greece (Olympians)

Yeah but, even Zeus wouldn't be so cocky as to say "never heard of another godly being that came before me:D" he's prideful but not in this kind of dumb way (same for poseidon)
And I highly doubt Hades would ever leave Hell
So i did thought he could be something like Hermes at first because of how playful he is, but Hermes is not a general (i mean at least i hope they wouldn't send hermes with a fleet accross the sea to start a war)
So idk who he is honestly!
That line.... "I've never met a god that preceeded me"
If he were greek, wouldn't that make him a titan?!
What about from other mythologies?!
*if i remember right, the fan concensus was that he was greek right??? But y (sry I forgot) ?
