I thought the orbs was their way of intertwining their souls together and stabilizing them since they kept having all those problems when separated but if you're saying it promises immortality I'm going to take it bc they need their happy ending

From what I understood, Tae became "one" with him, so all of his memories, powers he all share it with him. So technically he is immortal as he can get and would probably die at the same time if anything were to happen.
